G.WIZ - Faulhaber Fab Lab

Opening Fall 2010

In 2010, a collaboration between the Faulhaber Family Foundation and G.WIZ – The Science Museum has formed and is known as the G.WIZ - Faulhaber Fab Lab.

The Fab Lab is an advanced digital design and fabrication laboratory that allows community members access to high-tech tools in order to actualize ideas through design and fabrication.

The Fab Lab in Sarasota, Florida is one of over thirty in the Global Fab Lab Network, and the only one in the southeastern region of the United States.

The G.WIZ - Faulhaber Fab Lab is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2010.

Opened June 1st 2010!

The area has been designed to emulate an Everglades natural habitat to inspire children to learn about Florida’s natural flora and fauna. Soft mats shaped like waves provide an appealing terrain for infants and toddlers to explore, while ramps and other area serve as intriguing crawl and climb spaces and retreats.
